Regional Sales Manager

Description:
Harpak is a distributor and manufacturer of primary and secondary packaging systems.  G. Mondini, CAMA, and Hooper Engineering are represented.  Harpak offers tray sealers, fillers, dosers form/fill/seal equipment, case erecting, automatic loading, sleeving, cartoning and closing equipment.  Our systems approach is considered one of the best in the industry. We are a young and progressive company.

Requirements:

  • Experience in capital equipment sales and packaging industry knowledge a must.
  • Primary AND secondary packaging experience a PLUS!
  • Existing relationships in territory
  • Computer literacy and PC skills necessary
  • 50-60% travel is required to effectively represent Harpak
  • Generate and qualify quality leads

Controls Engineer/Technician

Description:
Harpak, Inc. sells, installs and maintains tray sealers, fillers, cartoning machines, robotics, case formers, form/fill/seal and more.   We work directly with multinational food and medical manufacturers.  Harpak, a North American leader in integrated primary and secondary packaging equipment seeks a Controls Engineer/ PLC Programmer.

This position involves programming & configuration of Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC, Control Logix, Compact Logix and Micro Logix. 

With more than 500 equipment installations in North America, travel is anticipated to be 60-70%.   As we are dealing with the food chain it is imperative that our equipment is up and running quickly.  This applicant must be a self-starter who is comfortable working with people in trouble-shooting and problem solving situations.  Thinking on your feet and exceptional communication skills are a must.   Must be team oriented and possess a strong commitment to quality.

Requirements:

  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in field service or equipment maintenance in a related industry.
  • Experience working with packaging equipment, specifically those listed above.
  • Ability to program & configure Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC, Control Logix, Compact Logix and MicroLogix.
  • Must be able to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • This job requires the applicant to live in greater Chicago. If you do not live in the area please do not apply.
  • Prefer technical schooling in electricity, electronics or equipment maintenance of at least two years.
  • This position requires 60-70% travel.
  • This position is NOT intended for HVAC professionals or appliance repair techs.
